Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the Lockora Android application with package name com.lockora.app. In this policy, “Lockora,” “we,” and “us” refer to the Lockora developer identity displayed on the app’s Google Play listing.

Lockora provides app-locking and an encrypted, device-local media vault. It does not require a Lockora cloud account, and its core data remains associated with your device.

Apps and usage access

Lockora displays package identifiers, labels, and icons for launchable apps so you can choose which apps to protect. While protection is enabled, Lockora locally observes app-package transitions in the background to detect when a protected app opens. It does not read screen text, taps, messages, or content inside other apps.

Photos, videos, and the vault

Lockora uses the Android system Photo Picker and receives only the items you explicitly select. After validating a selected file, the app copies it into private app storage and encrypts it locally. The original remains in your gallery until you remove it.

Camera captures

The failed-attempt camera is optional and disabled by default. If you enable it and your chosen threshold is reached, Lockora opens a visible front-camera interface. Only a capture that you explicitly accept is stored, then encrypted locally in the vault.

PIN, biometrics, and security records

Lockora stores a cryptographic derivative of your PIN with a random salt—not the original PIN. Android handles fingerprint or face data; Lockora receives only the authentication result and never receives a biometric template. Failed-attempt times and related security events are stored locally for you to review.

• Usage Access: detects when an app you chose to protect is opened.
• Display over other apps: shows Lockora’s clearly branded authentication screen over protected apps.
• Notifications and foreground service: keeps protection running reliably and displays its ongoing status.
• Camera: supports the optional, user-confirmed failed-attempt capture described above.
• System Photo Picker: grants access only to the photos or videos you select, without broad gallery permission.
• Biometric prompt: lets Android confirm your identity without sharing biometric data with Lockora.

Lockora uses device-local data only to:

• lock the apps you select and verify authorized access;
• encrypt, display, export, or delete your vault items;
• record local security events for your review;
• apply your security, notification, and appearance settings;
• restore optional purchases through Google Play Billing.

Lockora does not use your app list, usage history, vault media, or security records for advertising, profiling, or analytics.

We do not sell personal or sensitive data. We do not share your app list, usage history, vault media, PIN material, or security records with advertisers or analytics providers.

When you initiate an optional purchase, Google Play processes transaction information under Google’s own terms and privacy policy. Lockora does not receive your payment-card details. When you manually export or share an item, Android sends only the item you selected to the destination you choose.

This webpage is delivered through Cloudflare. Cloudflare may process standard web-request data—such as IP address, browser information, and security signals—to deliver and protect the page under its Privacy Policy. Lockora does not use that website-delivery data for in-app profiling.

Vault media is encrypted locally. Cryptographic keys and other sensitive material are kept using Android’s secure storage facilities. Lockora applies file validation before importing selected media and limits its Android package visibility to launchable apps needed for the app-locking feature.

No system can guarantee absolute security. Keep Android updated, protect access to your device, and use Lockora’s Secure Reset before giving the device to someone else.

Lockora data remains on your device until you delete an item or record, use Secure Reset, or uninstall the app. Secure Reset destroys Lockora’s encryption keys and deletes its local data. Because selected gallery originals remain under your control, Secure Reset and uninstalling Lockora do not delete those originals from your gallery.

Lockora has no developer-operated cloud account, so there is no separate server-side Lockora profile to request for deletion.

Lockora is a general security utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly operate a service that collects children’s personal data through a Lockora account or backend. Parents or guardians should supervise device security settings and any optional purchase.

• Choose which apps, if any, Lockora protects.
• Enable or disable the optional failed-attempt camera.
• Select individual media through Android’s Photo Picker.
• Delete vault items and security records from the app.
• Revoke optional Android access in system settings.
• Use Secure Reset to remove Lockora’s local data and keys.

Revoking access may prevent the related feature from working, but it does not grant Lockora broader access.

We may update this policy when Lockora’s features, data practices, or legal obligations change. The effective date and version at the top of this page identify the current policy. Material changes will be reflected here before or when the updated practice takes effect.
